How to Apply the Film
Before applying, ensure the inside of the mask lens is completely clean, dry, and free of dust or grime.
Understanding the 3-Part Film
This product consists of three distinct layers. It is crucial to peel them in the correct order for a successful installation:
- Front (Labeled (1) Front): The front layer you peel off first to expose the sticky side of the film.
- Middle (The Anti-Fog Film): The permanent middle layer that stays on the inside of your mask.
- Back (Last Protective Labeled (2) Back): The Back layer you peel off last after you finish smoothing out the air bubbles.
Step-by-Step Installation
Step 1: Trim to Fit (If Needed)
Before you start place the film as is on the front to check fit, can trim for custom fit.
Step 2: Peel the Front Labeled (1)
Peel off the first protective layer (labeled "1" or "Front") to expose the adhesive side of the anti-fog film. Be careful not to touch the sticky side with your fingers.
Step 3: Align and Apply
Lightly apply the sticky side of the film to the center of the inside of the mask lens. If it is off-center, gently remove and re-apply immediately. Once centered, press it in place by applying firm pressure to the middle with your fingertip.
Step 4: Remove Air Bubbles
Repeatedly slide your fingertip over the film, pushing firmly from the center outward toward the edges to push out trapped air bubbles.
Step 5: Remove the Protective Back Labeled (2)
Application is almost complete! Now, carefully peel off the final top protective layer (labeled "2" or "Back").
Pro Tip: Use the edge of your fingernail or stick a small strip of tape to the corner of the film to easily lift this final protective layer away without pulling the actual anti-fog film off the lens.
Note: A few microscopic air bubbles might remain after installation, but they should be unnoticeable once the mask is worn underwater.
